Hanseaticsoft turns 10 this October. How time flies! What started as a small software company has evolved into an established global provider of cloud-based software for the maritime industry!
We are very proud to achieve this milestone and wanted to share some of our memories and landmarks with you.
Hey, nice to meet you! We are Hanseaticsoft.
Our story began in Hamburg in 2009, when a small group of shipping experts and developers got together to found their own software company. Thanks to their experience in the industry, they knew that most solutions on the market where clunky and inefficient. Communication as well as forwarding and requesting of information was very time consuming. Information was difficult to find and even then, data may have been available in different versions or simply incorrect due to human error.
The idea was to drive the much-needed digitalisation in the shipping industry by creating business software that was as easy to use as an iPhone. They began to work on their own solution - Cloud Fleet Manager was born!
As the years went by, the company started to grow and grow. More and more people joined Hanseaticsoft and the number of employees grew to more than 60. Soon the first branch office was opened in Copenhagen. After that, in London. And after that in Singapore!
Today we offer more than 30 applications for all different departments in shipping companies and have over 50 customers in more than 12 countries, with a combined fleet of more than 1200 vessels on all the world’s oceans!
Since spring 2017, Hanseaticsoft is part of the Lloyd's Register group of companies, and we are very pleased to have found a partner who shares our vision of a digital future for shipping with the same passion as we do.
